ISNHS 124th Anniversary

Every March, our school celebrates the ISNHS Foundation Anniversary, a tradition that brings students and teachers together to honor the history and growth of our school. It is a time when the entire community reflects on how far the institution has come and appreciates the values it continues to uphold. The celebration creates a joyful atmosphere in the school, reminding us that we are all part of a shared story and identity as students of ISNHS.

During the celebration, there are activities such as the parade and friendly competitions like dancing between grade levels. These events add excitement to the anniversary and allow students to show their creativity, teamwork, and school spirit. Although they are fun and lively, they also symbolize the unity and cooperation among students as we celebrate together.

For me, the ISNHS Foundation Anniversary is more than just an event held every March. It is a meaningful reminder of the community that supports our growth as learners and individuals. Being part of this celebration made me feel proud to belong to a school that not only values education but also the memories and experiences that shape us throughout our journey as students.

Reflection

During the fourth quarter, I experienced many challenges but also learned a lot about myself. Since it was the last quarter of the school year, there were many requirements and tasks that needed to be completed. At times, it felt overwhelming, especially when different deadlines came at the same time. However, these challenges helped me realize the importance of managing my time and staying responsible with my schoolwork.

This quarter also made me appreciate the things I learned in class. I realized that learning is not just about passing activities or getting grades, but about understanding lessons that can help me grow as a student and as a person. Even though there were moments when I felt tired or unmotivated, I still tried my best to finish my tasks and keep moving forward.

Looking back, the fourth quarter taught me many valuable lessons about patience, effort, and perseverance. It reminded me that every challenge is part of the learning process. As the school year comes to an end, I feel grateful for everything I experienced because it helped me grow and prepare for the next school year.

Women’s Month

National Women's Month is an annual celebration dedicated to recognizing the historical and contemporary contributions of women in society. Originally starting as a local week-long event, it has grown into a month-long observance every March to highlight the achievements of women that were often overlooked in history books. It serves as a time to honor pioneers in science, politics, and the arts, ensuring their stories inspire future generations to break glass ceilings and challenge traditional gender roles.

Beyond celebration, this month is a crucial period for advocacy and addressing the systemic barriers that women still face today. Discussions often focus on the gender pay gap, leadership representation, and the protection of women's rights globally. It acts as a platform for activists to push for policy changes that ensure equal opportunities in education and the workplace. By highlighting these issues, the month encourages society to move from mere awareness to concrete action in dismantling prejudice.

Ultimately, National Women's Month is a call for collective effort toward a more inclusive and equitable future. When women are empowered, communities tend to be more stable and prosperous, proving that gender equality is a human rights issue that benefits everyone.

Schools and organizations use this time to educate the youth about the importance of respect and fairness. As we celebrate how far we have come, the month reminds us that the journey toward true equality requires constant commitment and solidarity.

My Dreams, My Future

I have always believed that dreams are the quiet promises we make to ourselves. Mine is clear and deeply rooted in who i want to become. I dream of becoming a CPA Lawyer, a woman defined not only by her intelligence, but by her integrity, resilience and courage. I want to master the language of numbers and the power of the law, combining both fields to create a career that is purposeful and impactful. I know the journey will demand long nights of studying, unwavering discipline, and countless sacrifices, yet i am willing to embrace every challenge because this dream means everything to me. Beyond professional success, i dream of building a life in another country. I imagine myself stepping into a new world filled with diverse cultures, unfamiliar streets and endless possibilities. Living abroad represents growth for me, it is a symbol of independence and bravery. I want to prove to myself that i can thrive anywhere, that my abilities and determination can carry me across borders. In that new place, i see myself building a stable and fulfilling career, continuously striving to become better each day.

But more than titles or achievements, my greatest dream is to have a loving and peaceful family. I long for a home filled with warmth, laughter, and understanding. I dream of a future husband who will be my partner in every sense, someone who will grow with me, support me, and build a strong foundation of trust and respect. Together, i hope we will raise children who are kind, principled, and brave enough to chase their own dreams.
For me, success is not measured by wealth alone, but by balance and happiness. It is about waking up each day fulfilled, proud of the woman i have become, grateful for the family beside me, and confident in the life i have built. My dreams is not simply a vision of the future, it is the motivation that pushes me forward today. And with faith, perseverance, and hard work, believe that one day, my dream will become my beautiful reality.

Hearts Day

Valentine’s Day has always been a beautiful celebration of love, but this year felt especially meaningful to me. From the moment I woke up, there was a sense of excitement and warmth in the air. It wasn’t just about the holiday itself, but about sharing it with someone who truly matters to me.

The most unforgettable part of my day was receiving flowers from the love of my life. When I saw them, my heart instantly felt so full. The flowers were not only beautiful, but they also represented thoughtfulness, effort, and genuine love. That simple gesture made me feel deeply appreciated and special.

As I held the flowers, I realized that Valentine’s Day is not about grand or expensive gifts. It is about making someone feel valued and cared for. Knowing that someone took the time to choose those flowers for me meant more than words can explain.

This Valentine’s Day will always have a special place in my heart. It reminded me how lucky I am to experience a love that feels sincere and comforting. More than the flowers, it was the feeling of being loved that made the day truly unforgettable.

Intayon Ilocos Sur

Every year, we celebrate Ilocos Sur Festival as part of the province’s annual festivities that usually take place around late January to early February to mark Ilocos Sur’s founding anniversary. Known locally as Intayon which in Ilocano means “let’s go” or “come on” the festival is a vibrant invitation to celebrate the spirit of the province and the unity of its people.

Over several days, the festival showcases the rich culture and traditions of Ilocanos through colorful parades, performances, and displays of craftsmanship. Local government units, community groups, and artisans participate in grand street processions, trade fairs, and food markets that highlight traditional products, regional delicacies, and innovative goods from micro and small enterprises.

But the celebration goes beyond entertainment, it also emphasizes community pride and economic growth. Events like trade and food fairs provide a platform for local businesses to thrive, concerts, while competitions encourage creativity and excellence among participants in booth design, product innovation, and cultural presentations.

The Intayon Ilocos Sur Festival embodies both the historical roots and modern aspirations of the province, it honors heritage, strengthens community ties, and invites people from all walks of life to experience the warm hospitality and vibrant spirit of Ilocos Sur.
